I wanted to make 2 features with the same view, but different setting, what was odd was once I had created one, the other didn't list in feature components list. I tried many things but in the end it appears that this is a "feature" of features, a not so nice one I might add.
What I was trying to do is to have 2 interchangeable features that I would switch. One is a simplification of some pages, used when expecting big traffic surges. Anyway, to this thing, you need to disable the first feature and then create the second one. Then you can enable both and see which is default and which is overridden.
